Slide 16. In 1997, persons from the seven countries shown on this slide accounted for 64% of foreign-born TB cases. The highest proportion of foreign-born TB cases (22%) were from Mexico, 14% were from the Philippines, and 11% were from Vietnam. Persons from each of the remaining four countries (China, Haiti, India, and South Korea) accounted for 3%-6% of the total.
