Slide 4: TB Case Rates by State, United States, 1998. This map shows TB case rates for 1998 by state. Nineteen states had a case rate at or below the year 2000 target of 3.5 TB cases per 100,000 persons. Fifteen states and the District of Columbia had case rates greater than the national average of 6.8 per 100,000.
