Chapter 10
Community TB Control
Training and Education
TB control programs should provide training for all program staff
and should provide leadership in TB education to the community.
TB control programs should form networks and coalitions with community-based
organizations that work in communities with a high prevalence of
TB to ensure that community leaders, clinicians, and policymakers
are knowledgeable about TB; to educate the public about TB; and
in some instances, to help provide testing and prevention services.
