The vision of the Heartland National TB Center is to provide excellence, expertise, and innovation in training, medical consultation, and product development to reduce the impact of tuberculosis in our region.

OUR MISSION

The mission of the Heartland National TB Center is to build capacity with our partners. We will share expertise in the treatment and prevention of tuberculosis by: developing and implementing cutting-edge trainings, delivering expert medical consultation, providing technical assistance, and designing innovative educational and consultative products.

MEDICAL CONSULTATION

Both medical and nursing consultation, as well as technical assistance in various aspects of TB control, are available at no cost to physicians, nurses and other health care professionals in the thirteen states that comprise the Heartland Region.

EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

The goal of Heartland National TB Center is to increase the capacity to conduct tuberculosis prevention and control activities by enhancing expertise through partnerships that link each state’s existing TB knowledge and resources. Heartland works with its partners to develop training courses, webinars and on-line courses that meet the needs of today’s health professional.
