The format for this conference will include lecture presentation and case scenario analysis with audience discussion and participation. There will be ample time for questions and answers.
The goal of the conference is to enhance the expertise of providers in order to improve the diagnosis of challenging tuberculosis cases.
Using highly interactive lectures, case studies and other types of learning exercises, participants will be able to: describe the signs and symptoms of patients presenting with early tuberculosis disease; list the new laboratory methods that aid in the diagnosis of medically challenging TB infections; discuss the diagnosis and management of pediatric TB; describe the diagnosis and management of patients with extrapulmonary TB; and describe the process of diagnosing a medically challenging case of tuberculosis.
