It recognizes an outstanding contribution and impact on tuberculosis prevention and control at the local, state, regional, or national level.

Heartland congratulates Dr. Jeffrey R. Starke, winner of the 2025 William Stead TB Clinician Award. This award recognizes outstanding commitment and performance by a clinician providing tuberculosis care, leadership, or mentoring. Dr. Starke’s award was presented by Heartland’s own Dr. Lisa Armitige, the 2024 William Stead award winner.
