Pediatric TB Webcast Series 2: Pediatric TB Radiology

Designed for healthcare professionals, the series highlights real-world challenges and evidence-based strategies to improve TB care across pediatric populations. This session focuses on the role of chest imaging in the identification and management of TB in children. Participants will review common pediatric TB radiographic findings and discuss how radiology supports public health decision-making related to diagnosis, treatment initiation, and ongoing case management in pediatric TB cases.

LEVEL 1: Introduction to TB Nurse Case Management Online

Online 4 consecutive Tuesdays, 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm CT
The goal of this course is to provide an introductory training experience covering the basic elements, knowledge, and skills essential for the nurse case manager responsible for the care
of patients with active TB disease and their contacts. This course also provides new nurses with the foundation necessary to attend Heartland’s Essentials of TB Nurse Case Management Online course.
The format for this course will be web-based via Canvas Catalog and Microsoft Teams. This course will include live presentations, self-paced modules, online topic discussions, and homework assignments to be completed between the live presentations. Participants will have ample time for questions and answers during the live group discussions.

Designed for healthcare professionals, the series highlights real-world challenges and evidence-based strategies to improve TB care across pediatric populations. This session provides a practical overview of pediatric TB case management from a public health perspective. Topics include diagnostic challenges, treatment considerations, monitoring and follow-up, and collaboration between clinicians and TB programs to ensure timely reporting, effective treatment, and continuity of care for children with TB.
Continuing education credit for multiple disciplines will be provided for this activity.

LEVEL 2: Essentials of TB Nurse Case Management Online

This course is intended for nurses and public health staff who are actively engaged in the identification, case management, and treatment of patients with tuberculosis infection or disease. There are no prerequisites for this course, but prior completion of Heartland National TB Center’s Introduction to TB Nurse Case Management Online course is highly recommended.
This format for this course will be web-based via Canvas Catalog and Microsoft Teams. This course will include pre-recorded presentations with interactive discussions and case studies. Participants will have ample time for questions and answers.
